For more than 10 years, I co-owned and operated Endocrinology, Diabetes & Longevity Center of Arizona, which grew to include an integrative weight loss clinic, medispa, and two medical office buildings in the Greater Phoenix area. Recently, I sold my business interests in the related medical practices.

As a result of this sales process, I witnessed firsthand the challenges and pitfalls facing physicians and healthcare business owners when selling their healthcare business. Many healthcare business owners are unaware of the significant tax, accounting, succession planning, and legal issues that arise throughout the sales process.

With more than 27 years of diverse healthcare experience, Marta Sepulveda MD was most recently the CEO of Hospital General Medellin, the leading public hospital in Latin America. Dr. Sepulveda oversaw an annual operating budget of $64 million and approximately 1,800 employees.

Dr. Sepulveda serves foreign investors from Latin America, Italy, and Spain who pursue green card opportunities via investment into US enterprises. Strategic Medical Brokers has established relationships with immigration attorneys and receives a steady supply of investors. Dr. Sepulveda speaks English, Spanish, and Portuguese.

Anika has over 15 years of healthcare operations and management experience across various healthcare settings.  Her areas of expertise include physician contract negotiation, optimization of operational workflows, revenue cycle management and compliance with government quality programs.

She is Board Certified in Healthcare Management through the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and is a member of the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA).  In addition, she holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Rutgers University and a Master of Science degree in Healthcare Administration from New Jersey City University.

When not working, Anika enjoys spending time with family and walking outdoors.

Rob T. Hardy, MHA, FACHE, CMPE

Business Broker / Practice Consultant

Rob has over 30 years of healthcare operations and management experience across various healthcare settings. Beginning his career as a Licensed Paramedic and Commander with one of the most prestigious EMS services in the country, he has served in C level positions in hospital administration, academic medicine, multispecialty practice management, and has most recently led Accountable Care Organizations to achieve some of the highest level of quality metrics in the country.

He is a Fellow and Board Certified in Healthcare Management through the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) and is a Certified Medical Practice Executive of the American College of Medical Practice Executives (ACMPE). In addition, he holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Texas, a Master of Healthcare Administration from Texas State University, and is All But Dissertation (ABD) for a PhD in Organizational Behavior from the University of Texas.

When not working, Rob enjoys spending time with his wife, children, and friends, especially his 110 lb White German Shepherd Milo, and enjoying the outdoors through horseback riding, boating, sailing, fishing, hunting, and camping.

Diana Milena Vargas Güiza

Executive Assistant

An accomplished Industrial Engineer with more than ten years of experience working with manufacturing and service companies in Latin American and Europe. Diana holds a Master’s degree in Global Logistics Operations and Supply Chain Management.

Additionally, Diana was the executive administrator for a multi-national company and was involved in project management, team planning, data analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and managing sales and customer service activities.  

Diana speaks English and Spanish and is currently learning French.

When not working, Diana enjoys spending time with her family and dancing to Colombian and Mexican music.
