We take very seriously our promise to “guide you, advise you and celebrate with you,” which is why we’ve made it a tradition to take our clients out for a “celebration dinner” after closing. The sale of Jose Antunes, M.D. P.A, a well-respected endocrinology practice in Sarasota, was not the exception.
Most physician owners don’t know where to start when thinking of retiring or selling their lifelong business. Taking the next step may feel daunting or even impossible at times.
When we first met Dr. Antunes and his wife, they were struggling to find someone they truly trusted and identified with. To quote them:
“We needed a transition plan for the practice. We knew the practice model was an important innovation that deserved to continue. We wanted to preserve the legacy and service to our community that the practice provided – excellent, full-service diabetes care. We wanted a transition plan that would enable continued mentoring while handing off the baton to a buyer who understood the value and could take the practice to the next level.”
Once we met and explained our experience and sales approach, they say it felt like the obvious choice, so we listed their practice.
We understand that finding the right buyer for our clients requires a delicate balance of matchmaking and viability. After carefully screening prospective buyers, we found their “perfect match”.
Our client received a significant sum, nearly all in cash, and a long-term lease on the real estate they owned. After completing the transition, they plan to begin traveling internationally for extended vacations to the destinations on their bucket list.
This is definitely something we are thankful for being part of and worth celebrating!
